Part-Time Early Childhood Community Support and Extended Day Assistant

We are looking for someone to work in a support role in our Early Childhood Community (ages 3-6). This position will include supervising the playground during the students’ outdoor free time, facilitating nap in the afternoons, and supervising students in our Montessori Extended Day Program. The person in this position will work closely with ECC staff members and our ECC Extended Day Guide to foster an environment that promotes a positive experience for our students. Outdoor play is an important piece of our program and the ideal candidate will be comfortable outdoors in ALL types of weather for up to two and a half hours at a time.  We are looking for someone who has experience working with children ages 3-6 and is interested in learning about Montessori and the use of Positive Discipline. The hours of the job are 12:00 am-5:30 pm and include closing the school at the end of the day.

Part Time Extended Day Assistant

We are looking for someone to work in our Montessori-based after school (Extended Day) program beginning August 1st. This position will include supervising Elementary age students (1st-6th grade) during their outdoor Extended Day time from 3-4 PM and supervising students of all ages (2-14 years) from 4-5 PM. This position involves supervising outdoor free play and creating opportunities for structured activities, both outside and indoors.  The person in this position will work closely with staff members to foster an environment that promotes a positive experience for our students.  Outdoor play is an important piece of our program and the ideal candidate will be comfortable outdoors in ALL types of weather for several hours at a time. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, has experience organizing and executing planned activities with students of various ages, and is interested in learning about Montessori and the use of Positive Discipline. The hours of the job are 2:45 PM – 5:15 PM.

Toddler Community Assistant

We are looking for a full-time Assistant in our Toddler Community. Our Toddler Community is comprised of 12 two-year-old students, a Lead Guide, and an Assistant.   

This is a wonderful opportunity to join a dedicated staff of collaborative, friendly, and enthusiastic Montessorians. This position begins August 1, 2024.

The person in this position will work under the direction of a Montessori-trained Lead Guide to create a harmonious community.  The person in this position should have a deep appreciation for, patience with, and respect for children.  Our  ideal candidate has experience with toddler-aged students, an interest in child development, a willingness to learn and apply the Montessori and Positive Discipline, and a desire to continually grow in their position.   We are specifically looking for a staff member that is willing to consider an assistant position as a multi-year career.
